Like hundreds of thousands of others, Mohammad participated in the 40th-memorial day memorial  of Hadis Najafi. Hadis was a 22- year- old girl, who got killed in absolute innocence by the Islamic revolutionary guard. After this event, Mohammad got arrested with the accusation of murdering a paramilitary force, called Basiji. A claim with no supporting evidence whatsoever. His court was utterly unfair, and his lawyer was not allowed to represent him or review his case. He says Mohammad has suffered horrific tortures, from electric shocks and metal bar blows on his feet, to being beaten while blindfolded. He resisted at first, but finally gave up under torture and agreed to confess to whatever they wanted to. His lawyer emphasizes that this forced confession has no legal legitimacy.  for he was not allowed to have a lawyer of his choice for such a crucial case. Even though he repeatedly refuted the allegations  throughout his court appearance, no one listened to him. Eventually, They charged him he got charged with “spreading corruption on Earth”. Quickly after, his verdict was announced, it was death by hanging. In the courtroom, Mohammad was all alone, just as he was without his parents’ support and kindness throughout these gloomy days. Mohammad’s parents have passed away, but little did the Islamic Republic know that now the entire world, Iranians and non-Iranians alike, has got Mohammad’s back. He is not alone among people and politicians as he got three political sponsors from Belgium,  Austria and Germany.

May We Never Forget Freedom Isn’t Free! 

It is our deepest sorrow to announce that #MehdiKarami and #SeyedMohammadHosseini are no longer among us. They both were unjustly executed on Saturday Jan 07, 2023 at dawn.  Let us remember those who were loved and who, in return, loved us enough to fight and die for our freedom. The measure of a human is sacrifice, the treasure of a human is sacrifice. Let us pledge to do our utmost to carry out what must have been their wish — that no other generation of young men and women will ever have to share their experiences and repeat their sacrifice. And if words cannot repay the debt we owe these two brave men, surely with our actions, we must strive to keep faith with them. May they rest in peace and light up our road to bravery, justice and truth. We will never forget, nor will we ever forgive what the Islamic regime in Iran is doing to our generation.
