Omid is one of the victims of mass arrests during the nationwide protests. He has been arrested for multiple months, however he was allowed only a very few times of family visits. Omid informed his family that he had been brutally tortured and forced to sign tens of pages of false confessions against himself. Omid had to go through unjust court trials, where he was accused of “waging war against God” solely based on his forced confession. Omid’s life is in danger as this baseless accusation is punishable by death.
