His dad got a phone call, it was Mohammad-Mehdi, saying in tears, “Dad, they just announced my verdict, I am sentenced to death, but don’t tell mom…”. Mohammad-Mehdi is a 22 year old Karate athlete, and multiple medal awardee. In his conversation with his dad, he says “I swear to God, to your hard-working hands, I have not done any of the accused charges. Isn’t it that they should have evidence for condemning me? They are going to hang me based on my forced confessions”. Mohammad-Mehdi informed his family he has been mentally, physically, and even sexually tortured to make forced confession of murdering Roohallah Ajamian. He is charged with spreading corruption on Earth, but his court sessions were held in the absence of the family dedicated lawyer, an unfair trial, like all others.

May We Never Forget Freedom Isn’t Free! 

It is our deepest sorrow to announce that #MehdiKarami and #SeyedMohammadHosseini are no longer among us. They both were unjustly executed on Saturday Jan 07, 2023 at dawn.  Let us remember those who were loved and who, in return, loved us enough to fight and die for our freedom. The measure of a human is sacrifice, the treasure of a human is sacrifice. Let us pledge to do our utmost to carry out what must have been their wish — that no other generation of young men and women will ever have to share their experiences and repeat their sacrifice. And if words cannot repay the debt we owe these two brave men, surely with our actions, we must strive to keep faith with them. May they rest in peace and light up our road to bravery, justice and truth. We will never forget, nor will we ever forgive what the Islamic regime in Iran is doing to our generation.
