Join the "Feel My Pain Be My Voice" campaign and stop executions in Iran
Mohammad is an 18-year-old boy who grew up in poverty in the slums of Tehran. His father took care of the family by dumpster diving, and was delighted and proud that he had a son that one day could uplift the family’s financial situation. Despite being poverty-stricken, Mohammad is dashing and high-spirited. On 20 October 2022, he was arrested and had a bench trial by notorious Judge Salavati. AKA , The Judge of Death, Salavati has been the judge of numerous controversial cases, he is currently sanctioned by the United States and the European Union for committing human rights abuses after the 2009 disputed election. He has been highlighted as the instrument of a crackdown on journalists and political activists under the influence of Iran's intelligence and security apparatus. Nazanin Zaghari British-Iranian author and Jason Rezaian Aemrican-Iranian journalist are two of the well-known cases that he has sentenced to long-term incarceration. Living up to his name, Judge Salavati did not give Mohammad a fair trial. Although his trial was supposed to have more sessions, he was hastily sentenced to death for waging war against God and corruption on Earth in a single session, and without access to an attorney of his choice. In the international campaign to stop executing protesters in Iran, Martin Diedenhofen, a German parliament member, accepted to be Mohammad’s political advocate to put pressure on the Islamic regime to stop his execution.
Martin Diedenhofen, Member of the German Bundestag and Mahmoud Farahmand, Norwegian MP both have become the political sponsor of #MohammadBoroghani
