Mehdi is only 18 years old. He is one of the victims of mass arrests during protests that occurred after the death of Mahsa (Jina) Amini by the morality police of Islamic republic. He got arrested on 2nd of october and since then his family was forced to stay quiet with the promise of releasing him. But this was just a dirty trick by the Islamic republic to keep Mehdi’s court trial away from public eyes. Mehdi was taken to court after being tortured for three consecutive months. He was brutally tortured to write a forced confession against himself. This false confession was the only evidence used to accuse him of “spreading corruption on Earth” and “waging war against God”. Mehdi’s unjust trial happened in the absence of his lawyer of choice, he did not have anyone to defend him. Just recently he received his verdict. He is charged with execution, not once but twice. As if the islamic republic is in haste to get rid of a 18 year young man. His life is in imminent danger of execution.
