Join the "Feel My Pain Be My Voice" campaign and stop executions in Iran
Abolfazl is a laid-back person. He used to play for U-17 Sorkh Poushan FC, a youth soccer club in Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces arrested him in the middle of the street when he was unconscious. He was tried alongside five other protesters by the notorious Judge Salavati. AKA, The Judge of Death, Salavati has been the judge of numerous controversial cases, he is currently sanctioned by the United States and the European Union for committing human rights abuses after the 2009 disputed election. He has been highlighted as the instrument of a crackdown on journalists and political activists under the influence of Iran's intelligence and security apparatus. Nazanin Zaghari British-Iranian author and Jason Rezaian Aemrican-Iranian journalist are two of the well-known cases that he has sentenced to long-term incarceration. Living up to his name, Salavati concluded Abolfazl’s case in one short bench court session. Salavati accused Abolfazl of damaging 25 public trash bins. Once asked if he could afford the fine, he replied that he sadly could not. Inflation has been between 20-40% in the last few years. If we have an angry crowd in the USA for a 10% inflation one can imagine part of the protests in Iran to have economical grounds. Abolfazl is charged with waging war against God and corruption on Earth which are punishable by death.
